Lined Envelopes

Add a little color to your envelopes and line them with decorative paper. This subtle touch will make sending invitations and thank you notes more fun. Thanks Sew Kate Sew for giving us the inspiration. Here’s what you’ll need:

invitation envelopes
patterned paper
envelope lining template (from sew kate sew)
glue stick

Pick the envelopes you will use.

Print off the lining template.

Cut out the template and trace it on the back of the patterned paper.

Cut out the lining from the patterned paper. Double check that it fits on the top flap of the envelope. Stay away from the envelope’s seal.

Using a glue stick, paste the lining to the inside of the envelope.

Crease the envelope along the top flap before the glue dries to avoid bubbles.

Wha-lah! Your plain envelope has a unique face lift. Now get writing those notes!
